I have a standard Cochin Rooster who is approx. a yr old. I've had him since he was a few months old. He is in a pen with ten other chickens, none of which are presenting with the same problem. I noticed he was starting to limp a little. I checked his feet and the only thing I saw that was unusual was that he was missing some toe nails. Lately the limping is getting worse and he's lost more toe nails. The few nails he has left are really small and thin. I also noticed that lately his legs are starting to turn red on the backs of them. I don't see any bumblefoot going on and I dont' see any bugs crawling. He's acting normally, besided the seemingly painful legs. He's still performing his roosterly duties.
