whats wrong with his foot?

an old credit card works really well... You will have to resplint it alot and cardboard just doesn't hold up... Medical tape or bandain...Medical tape being my first choice... This actually works....I have fixed several with feet like this.

Someone on the thread said to change the boot every couple days. I think you could check it then and if it seems straight watch for a while and reboot if necessary. But this is a guess, Fortunately I've never had to deal with this.

No! This is definitely not a lost cause. I had a chick hatch with both feet curled. All she could do was sit on her hocks. The day after she hatched, my daughter made her the bandaid "booties", and within a few hours she was standing on her boots. By the next day she was walking fine with the boots. We took them off after almost 3 days. She is 8 weeks old now and doing fine. She has one crooked toe, but walks and runs just like the rest of the chickens. And since she turned out to be a pullet, it was all worth it!

I had a guinea with this and I put its toes flat on the duct tape. cut between each toe and rolled the duct tape over the top. this way the tape stayed on. It was better in 5 days. The duct tape sticks better than bandaids and masking tape. It was constantly getting the bandaid off so I did masking tape and it stuck almost a day but the duct tape stayed on for 3 days. I think it is worth a try. Mine got better.

Google chicken curley toe. I had one like that and can't remember what the deficiency was but gave them brewer's yeast to help them out.
