What's wrong with my chick

I've noticed that one of my chicks have some stringy stuff hanging from its butt, it's hardened up now and tonight I pulled on it a little bit and noticed more would come but I didn't want to pull hard and hurt it? Any suggestions??

You should post this in a different forum here. Hold your mouse over the Forum tab and see in the drop down, move the mouse to Raising Backyard Chickens then a side drop down will be available, move your mouse down to Emergencies, Diseases, Injuries and Cures and click to choose that sub-forum. You will get the hang of it and then you will be hooked by BYC like the rest of us.
