my favourite bird is very lethargic - hasn’t eaten in 4 days. Rest of the flock is fine - any thoughts?

Is he abdomen large and squishy? Is she eating or drinking? What is her poop like? How old is she? When was the last time she laid an egg?

Good questions @Dottie the Chicken

If she's not eaten in 4 days, I would first focus on getting her hydrated. Feel her abdomen for any bloat or fluid. Tell us what her crop looks like and give us some photos of her poop.

I'm sorry that she's not well.

The first thing I do when I notice a chicken acting lethargic is to check the crop. This is one of the top health issues to strike a chicken. Do you know what to look for? This might help. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

You also need to look in her mouth and throat. Look for anything coating the mouth and throat that looks like food.

You need to give us a photo of her poop.

You need to tell us what she eats, if she has grit (different from oyster shell), and if she free ranges where there is rotting compost.

Egg laying history and her age will add to the information we need to figure out what's going on.

By simply asking if we have any idea what's wrong, you risk getting a list of about fifty possible illnesses.

How old is she? Has she been laying eggs recently? Pictures of droppings could be helpful. Can she stand and walk? Get her drinking some water right away by holding a small scoop or cup up to her beak. Electrolytes, gatorade, or Poultry NutriDrench would be good to use now.
