We have a Guinea hen that appears to have the same thing, but I think it may be due to a reproductive issue. We gave her an epsom salt soak last Friday for 20 minutes, and it made a big difference the next day. I am going to try again tomorrow. We caught her with a large butterfly net, and then just held her in the bath. Other than the struggle to catch her, she seemed to settle down and enjoy it. I want to give her some milk thistle but can't find much info on using an extract. I need to mix it with her food, but her mate will also get some. I'd try the soak if you can. Good luck.Update on my hen: I still don't know what's wrong with her. She's been isolated for over a month. She eats well, drinks well. The thing on her face is way bigger.
I have not been able to find aloe juice at any of me local feed stores. There is one more place I can check locally. Her vent seems to be often covered with feces. I'll start trying to do epsom salt baths for her but she was at least 3 when I "inherited" and not ever handled so this might get interesting
