Hopefully I can find someone here who can answer my question, because I wasn't having any luck with the search engine.
Today, I let out my four hens to graze and scratch and all of them looked fine. I took a lesson with a horse instructor for 15-20 minutes and went back to look at where the ladies traveled off to. I found one all by herself. From what I observed, she was panting and quivering and her tail seemed to be a little ragged (a few feathers were loose). Her eye lids were halfway open and here wings were down. I though it might be best if I put her in her house while the other three stayed away. As I carried her away and put her into her pen, she continued to quiver.
I felt around her wings and body to see if there was any blood, but to no avail. I checked back to see how she was doing and she apparently was very clumsy on her feet.
What should I do?
