My chick hatched last night. It looked like it had a small bulge on its neck. I let it be overnight and this morning... it seems like it cant straighten its neck, it has no balance and just lays on its side a lot. But it is doing alot of peeping. What happened.... anyone, please?

Some chicks take a while to unfold from their egg-bound position. Did you assist the hatch at all?

One thing I do, for all my incubator and mailed chicks, is give them a drop of straight NutriDrench 2-3 times over the course of 24 hrs. If indicated, I'll give a struggling chick a dose every 4 hours. NutriDrench is a vitamin concentrate, usually meant to be diluted in water. Someone recommended it to me for a chick that was struggling, it didn't arrive in time for that chick, but I've used it since, MANY times, to great effect. It works particularly well for chicks that have balance issues. There have been at least 4-6 times I've had a chick, 2-12 hours out of the shell, struggle to stand up only to flip on its back and flail around. Each of those chicks, bar ones with other issues, perked up and were able to balance themselves on their hocks without flipping within 5 minutes of the first dose.

Ok, i tried to take a short video. Its hard to see with the red hear lamp and the chick is black but you can see that somethings not right.

I generally leave chicks in the incubator until they are walking well. Chicks that can't move can't adjust their distance from the heat source to make themselves comfortable.

Ive had several chicks already and i dont think its from taking it out of the incubator too soon. It was bouncing around in the incubator just like the others but there is clearly something not right with its neck
