So I've been gone since Saturday evening and when I left, my roo seemed ok! Eating well, poo normal, etc. I was having my dad lock his box at night, let him out in the AM. He never said anything was "different". Well, I come home today to find my beloved roo's comb is different. It's kinda hard to explain so I thought I would post some pics...

I've been watcing him this evening, and he seems to be acting normal- eating, active and crowing... and upon further inspection these things seem almost like scabs- nothing open or oozing, and only on one side. They do not seem to be itchy or otherwise bothering him. He has no access to other chooks, so they are not scabs from fighting wounds. I'm afraid they may be fowl pox
- which I know is not treatable, but is it always fatal?
I'm hoping NOT! Please help!!!
