Whats wrong with my sebright?

Free feather, that's sad about your Sebright. I have been lucky so far. I have one neighbor that I'm concerned about. He has one dog that gets loose every now and then and our place is the first place he goes. I keep thinking I should probably have a club or something handy. I hate stories where people have their whole flock wiped out by a dog. Someone I know had 20 some chickens wiped out. I would be furious because people don't realize how much time and work we put into chickens not to mention lot's of them are pets. Sorry about your bird.
Dogs really can do some serious damage, but I forgive because they are just being dogs. My mother's past dogs would get loose and make short work of her flocks, and the neighbor's hunting dogs have dropped by and tried cleaning house...my chickens hate dogs. Dogs and chickens need to be as far away from each other as possible in most cases.

Free Feather, This is a funny story about my Sebright. Littlest chicken of all and my cat was really afraid of it. I heard my cat meowing one day and went to see what was wrong with him and my Sebright had him backed into a corner. He was really intimidated by that little bird. Cracked me up. Love my chickens, I don't care for the black birds that come around and steal chicken feed and today I was watching the chickens and one of my chickens kept chasing a black bird off. Love the entertainment they provide. As for dogs, my Barred Rock jumped over the fence one day and my other neighbor has a bird dog and I think the dog sensed that if he hurt my chicken I wouldn't feed him anymore. When I give my chickens bread he is out there begging and I give him some too. I have been lucky so far.
