What's Your Chickens names and Why are they named that?

Oh dear, this will take awhile:

Big Blue Roo/Big Daddy Blue - our Splash cochin rooster (first chicks hatched in September!)
Scarlett & Ruby - our two very bossy Rhodie hens
Amber & Sandy - Buff Cochin hens
Onyx - our very cranky Black Cochin hen
Polly - a very confused Spangled Hamburg hen who likes to perch on people's shoulders
Smokey - Blue Andalusian hen
Mutilda - Silver Gray Dorking (name is because she was a mystery chick who took us forever to identify)
Bonaparte/Blownaparte - Bantie Frizzle Cochin cockerel
Pepper - black Bantie Frizzle Cochin pullet
Dove - Splash Bantie Cochin pullet (she's really tiny at present, 1 month old and sort of looks like a bar of Dove soap when napping)

Then there's the ducks!

Brutus & Nera - Rouen duck breeding pair (the bosses)
Granny & the Gray Boys - Blue Swede hen and her three boyfriends (Big Gray Boy, Meanie Gray Boy, Dark Gray Boy - destined for freezer camp)
Babs - crested Black Swede hen
Bernie - KC drake
Madame, Lucy, & Penny hens - we were on a Rescuers theme when we got the KCs
Lucky (aka Zombie duck) - we brought her back from the dead, I swear. darn thing aged me a year!

7 hereto unnamed KC/Runner ducklings mixes (they ain't staying, so no names!)

Have 4 white hens and 3 BR with no names cus I cant tell them apart.

In our original flock of ten:

Buff Orpington Rooster: Buck (because that is what he always said. "Buck. Buck. Buck"
BO hen: Sassy (because she actually hunted my husband down and jumped up to bite him when he scared one of the other hens.)
RIR hens: Terra and Luna (because they came home on Earth Day.)
Easter Eggers: Muffy and Dora (because Muffy has muffs, and Dora is aDORAble.)
Black Australorp: Zippy (because from the moment we brought her home, she would put her little head down and run flat out ---zip---around the brooder.)
Barred Rocks: Skittles and Marsha-Lena (because Skittles is skittish, and Marsha-Lena was at first Lena due to a leaning comb, but I didn't like the name, really, and being a child of the fifties, and
liking the Brady Bunch, renamed her Marsha, but my husband couldn't remember that, so she became Marsha-Lena.)
Welsummer: Twiggy (RIP) because she was very trim and beautiful, with big eyes, like the supermodel of the 60's, Twiggy.)

The Second Flock:

Delawares: Snow and Flake (because they are mostly white, and a little skittish at first.)
Gold Laced Wyandotte: Goldie (because we lack imagination.)
Silver Laced Wyandotte: Sylvia (ditto.)
Easter Eggers: Ruby, Blackbeard and Free Bird (because Ruby is red, and Blackbeard has black muffs and a beard, and Free Bird was given to us for free as she had a very slight cross beak--it's
gone now.)
Cuckoo Marans: Looney and Tooney (because they really were wild when we got them. They screamed and flailed whenever we tried to pet or hold them---hence the Looney Tunes reference.)
Black Silkie: At first Sissy, but then Zeus (because my husband bonded with and named this one what he thought was a pretty girl name, except that she started crowing. Zeus = manly name.)

Buttercup the bearded buff laced Polish - She looks like a baked treat!
Dolce the white Leghorn - Italian for 'sweet', she is the nicer of the 2 Leghorns
Karma the white Leghorn - because "Karma's a b***h"!

THELMA & LOUISE--barred rocks...Louise ended up being a roo that was traded in for an actual hen & Thelma became THEODORE when I found out he is not a she. Liked the movie.
LUCY & ETHEL--buff orpingtons...love the re-runs of I love Lucy.
SCRAPPY, SCRUFFY & RAGAMUFFIN--buff orps...that's what they looked like when I bought them after molting & a very amorous rooster!
RIR1, RIR2, RIR3--rhode island reds...can't tell them apart!
ROSIE--red star sex link...just 'cause I was tired of naming chickens that day...
Thing One & Thing Two--game birds...Because all they do is wreak havoc in my yard, eat my laying mash, fly up in the trees, won't let me get near them & near as I can tell, aren't laying any eggs...at least I haven't found any hidden nests yet.

i have an americauna hen. her name is owlsley hennington. she is so funny. she has these huge tufts of feathers coming out of her ears, and this flappy neck skin. and she looks like an owl. she is my favorite, so the only one i have named.

LOL What fun!!!

In order of appearance...

Charlotte - GLW - because she looks regal and carries herself with great dignity...the name sounded old & regal
Fanny - GLW whose tail feathers were ALL ripped out during dog attack giving her a naked fanny
Lacey - bantam of unknown breeding...white over tan feathers giving her a lacy appearance
Daisy - SLW
Mae - SLW...........the SLWs should probably be name Eva Braun & lucretia Borgia...they are super dooper sweet girls who rule the roost with a VERY heavy hand...er, wing.
Estelle - EE (old lady on the Golden Girls)
Helen - BO
Thelma Lou - BO.....Helen & Thelma Lou were best friends on Andy Griffith Show :)
Stilleto
Ringo
Sunshine
Koi...........these 4 are Seramas that were named by my daughter; one is yellow, one has a ring around her neck, koi is patterned like a neighbor's fish, and Stilleto sounds sort of like a small version of...
Stella - black orpington - don't know why/how she got that name
Sam - Brown Leghorn Roo...yosemite sam; lots of bark not to threatening a bite ;)
Splish, Splash, Splosh - 3 Ameraucana pullets that are splash colored
Blue, Blue, Blue - 3 Ameraucanas pullets that are blue...aren't we clever! lol we're horrible at telling these 3 apart and they zip around!
