Costco shed, 3x4x5" dog crate w/ hardware cloth within...no nest boxes, as this is temporary, will move to a proper coop when they are big enough to join our flock...
Getting chickens was a great excuse to build this shed, really needed the space!

Coops will be upgraded with time but have been used as such for a very long time.




Free-range has varied greatly at a function of season and drought. This vegetation is lush and paths maintained by mowing. Birds score very high on happiness spectrum with this setup.

Here's mine, an older pic, with a 100X100' area surrounded by electronet. Now the area has been expanded, to 100X200'. Gave them a little more space to stretch their legs.

LMAO!!!! Great pic! I clicked on it to see it full size and LOL at the chicken on the right, must have just finished her dust bath. She is shaking off the excess and look at the cloud of dust!

Here is mine...they have 2 enclosed runs and about 2 or 3 hours before dark we let them free range, then they put themselves to bed.
