Mine is Sprocket Pocket.

In June 2007, Sprocket was found running around the streets of Portland as a day old duckling. He was a giveaway "prize" during a parade.

Someone found him and turned him into the Oregon Humane Society. One of the people there knows me and knew I did rescue work and she brought him out to my house.

He cried and cried, so I stuck him in the pocket of my apron. He settled down and was happy to be in there. He spent his days in my pocket until he didn't fit anymore. He followed me everywhere. He travelled to a Chickenstock in Washington. He went to the Oregon Coast. He was spoiled rotten. We had friends out from Nebraska that June and he was even more spoiled.
You can see pics of him here

When he was grown, I adopted him out to a very nice lady. I was headed to her place for a post adoption check 3 days later, when she called and said my sweet Sprocket Pocket was killed by a raccoon.
Here is my goodbye to him

It was over a year before I was able to let anyone adopt a rescue from me. I still miss him.
