I'd really like to talk about polish frizzles and how your experience was/has been while keeping them. I've always thought they were gorgeous and soo cute, so I got a couple! Star and Slickback she was the first to go bald and we came up with the name when I was trying out vaseline as protection) They do tend to peck at each other's heads so I installed a border in their brooder but they are pretty easy going babies so far

at what age were you certain of the gender? I know its hard to tell with these guys

My polish aren't frizzle, just regular feathers. I could tell by 8 weeks mine were all pullets like they were supposed to be. Combs and wattles will turn red on cockerel by 6-8 weeks. Yours look like non-bearded ones, so they will get wattles.

We hatched six Polish chicks a couple weeks ago and five are frizzled! They look soooo cool. I’m obsessed with them haha

how can you tell if they will be bearded? i thought some of the fuzz under their chins looked like a beard but i could be wrong

On second look they may be bearded. Do they have cheek muffs? What color variety? Generally white crested varieties are never bearded.
