I'm really new, but for what it's worth, my hubbie and I just finished a Catawba Coop. I thought it was going to be a bust because the main doors to the henhouse were too heavy, but we cut them in half and now they're easy to use. My only concern is that the nesting boxes are not much higher than the rest of the henhouse. I have them in the garage for now, but when we transition them to the outdoors in a few weeks we'll be using a window where one of the egg box doors is. We're also going to add a very small vent to the other egg door. The idea is that we'll put back the solid door in winter and rely on just the one vent. I'll post pics in a few weeks when things settle down. You really need a chop/mitre saw and jigsaw for this one, though, because it was a lot of work even with those tools. I can't imagine building one with just a saw and a mitre (sp?) box.
