Is it Ok to tell names that are only planned? In Spring I plan to get baby chicks, 5 female, and 1 male. Assuming that no mistakes are made in sexing the babies I will have, among others, Silver Spangled Hamburg male and female. The Hamburg is a Dutch breed originally, so I tried to think of Dutch names, but then thought of Jan and Griet (John and Greta), from a legend from my DH's hometown in Germany, which is not too far from the Dutch border. So, unless his personality really requires another name he will be Jan (pronounced Yan)
