Whats your ultimate comfort song?

Quote:
Yup, that one was on my list too! But it has taken a different meaning with me since my uncle passed, it was his favorite song, so now it has become a song I listen to when I just need a good cry.

Sting - Fields of Gold, and IZ - Somewhere over the Rainbow

YES!! Mine too!

Along with Stevie Nicks "Sara" this version

And Christine McVie's "Songbird" sung by Eva Cassidy

Brenda

Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler
Fields of Gold - Sting
Africa - ToTo
The Celts - Enya
So many more,, I depend on music in all aspects of my life. My students have been introduced to a lot of music this year because I play it constantly. They love my Celtic music the most.

If I am having a truly bad day I listen to Copper head road -reminds mr of my uncle who had passed on a few years back he did two tours in Nam and a few other parts I crank it up and ask myself what would he tell me to do.

Not so bad day is Crazy Train cranked as loud as it will go....

just a stressed day- Anything Heavy from the 80's and when I just want to melt the day away anything country (older country)some newer ones but the one I listen to the most is old Trucker songs Convey,Teddy Bear,Giddy Up Go, Phantom 309 ones such as that it does relax me but most of all when I can't take any more stress and anger or I am gonna kill something or someone I throw in my Native american cd's lay down open my mind to the sounds and relax belive me there is just something about it I can't explain it but it works.

Blessed Assurance by Alan Jackson-beautiful version of a great old hymn.
Also, I agree, When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley-we played it at my father's funeral.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow (And I know He watches me).

Sometimes I forget that I am not struggling all alone down here. There's Someone who watches and cares about me, and that is very comforting.
