Wheat pasture question

We live in the middle of a wheat pasture and the wheat is really doing well, thick and green, and about 4-6" tall so far.
My chickens seem to spend over half their day out there in the wheat eating like crazy, and they are getting quite the finish on them. Deep creases down the center of their breasts and filling out a lot.

This surely can't hurt them, right? Would there ever be a point to where I need to put them up to keep them off of it?

Fine from a nutritional standpoint because while they are eating some wheat grass, they are undoubtedly getting a ton of bugs too. From a predator standpoint though, only a matter of time till you lose one or more.

Nah, not out here. No predators

I was thinking they're probably getting some of the green bugs, too. Free feed, right?!
