I have 3 wheaton (or blue wheaton, I can't tell) pullets that are too light for me to keep in the breeding pen. One is nearly laying age, the other 2 are a bit younger. One also has a clean face. Pick up only near Ocala.

They almost look splash wheaten to me is that possible? That could explain the light color.

No, the roo is wheaton and the hens are wheaton or blue wheaton. I dont know why Im getting such light colors on some of them.

Are you south or north of Ocala? If you are south, then I will take the oldest one and pick it up this coming holiday weekend, on Saturday, as early in the morning as I possibly can. Can you tell me, or post a picture of the egg color?

I have a few Ameraucanas and I am working on both egg color and feathering. I am making Blue chicks from a black hen and a splash rooster right now.

I am north of Ocala, and I dont believe she is laying yet. I work Saturday until noon.

I believe she laid her first egg today. Guess which one:

Aww..... So cute! I'm waiting to hear about an Ameraucana form someone that hatched a bunch of eggs about a month ago. If that doesn't work out, I'm interested in one of your girls. I'm in St.Pete, and could come pick her up. I will let you know.
