Wheaten/BCM Cross??

When I got this rooster, I was told he was a black copper Marans, but the more I look at him, the more I think he's either wheaten, or possibly a black copper/wheaten cross. What do y'all think?

His wing feathers are not solid black OR cinnamon colored - they're black with 'streaks' of cinnamon on them, and as you can see, the upper part of the wing is completely cinnamon colored. His breast is also cinnamon with just a few black laced feathers. He just doesn't fit the standard for either variety, but I just don't know.

I have BCM hens, and the chicks by this rooster look like typical BCM chicks, but I don't have any out of the fluffy stage yet so I have no idea how they'll mature.

He's probably a Marans mix. Definitely not BCM.

Yeah, he doesn't look quite like my other rooster who IS a black copper Marans. Does he look like a wheaten/BCM cross though? Would growing out the chicks to see what shade of eggs they lay tell me anything?

Anyone have any ideas on my rooster? He’s not full grown yet, is it too early to tell? I thought he was full FBCM.
