Wheelchair time! Help me please!

I've seen this link a few time on searches and thought what a great idea and so much cheaper! http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/mmissue61.htm
Had a chance to go to Walmart today and grabbed one. Was hoping for two (one for peanut, one for Kevin/Big Guy) but there was only one left. Kevin is more severe so I'm starting there. I grabbed two cheap beach towels to use as the hammock piece.

Now I need help. The link says to measure and cut to size. Measure what? Him? How big do I make it? I do wish they'd put that information on the blog. And how would you go about attaching the towel? I don't sew but I could MacGyver something.


Also SAM splints...I don't understand how to use them. Please help me help my babies

I saw part one of this which helps somewhat with measurements in his comments. How would you do the towel? And do you know about SAM splints at all?

Yes, wrapping it around the pvc and stabilizing it.
