I have a 1 yr old wheezing Barred Rock. Looks and sounds just like this youtube
. Discovered her last evening before they went to bed. I removed her from the other 5 chickens and she is in a kennel in my house. Looks and acts fine, except for the wheezing. Does she need to be on antibiotics? And if so, what kind and where do I get it.

Thanks for any help.

I lost three chickens that were also wheezing in a matter of days. I finally found a vet that would run a fecal on chickens and turns out mine have Capillary Worms. I would definitely reccomend getting a fecal done asap! Good luck!

i know this is an old post- but will safeguard take care of capilary worms??
Yes. Use safeguard liquid goat wormer, 1/2cc orally undiluted. Orally dose birds once every third day within a week. There's a 14 day withdrawal period after last dosing.
