Wheezing hen, needs an antihistimine I think

I have a 15 month old Auracona hen that is otherwise healthy who started wheezing severely tomight and I though she was going to die in my arms. I rinsed her out with water and coaxed her back to life but it was touch and go for a while. I emptied her crop by flushing it but her lungs sound congested. Can I usa an antihistimine or is there a more natural way to get her to stop wheezing?

I havent ever given a chicken an antihistamine before, but when my chicks get wheezy or cruddy sounding i get a cup with hot water and let them breathe in the steam for about 10 minutes. Not too hot though. it helps the airways from drying up and loosens any crud in there.
