wheezing hen

Well, the fact is that antibiotic use and modern medicine hampers the immune system much more than it helps. I have been into natural remedies most of my life and have both children and animals who have very rarely ever needed antibiotics. There are many natural things on this earth that give true healing, with no side effects.

Molasses is used as an intestinal flush for a chicken with food poisoning or an intestinal disease. I dont recommend using molasses for a respiratory issue.
Cinnamon can strengthen the immune system and helps protect against bacteria and viral attacks. Cinnamon would be a good preventative in due time. However, since your hen is wheezing now, you need need something to knock it out much quicker. I suggest you use the tylan 50 as recommended by chickengrl, it'll clear it up fast.
You can also give the tylan orally, 1/2cc once a day x 7 days.

Natural medicine will tell you that everything begins and ends with the colon. A good way to get rid of a cold is actually to chase it out the other end with a laxitive...
and molasses never hurt anybody or anything. So really, it won't hurt anything.
