Wheezing roo with definite crow sound change

Im looking for advice for two apparently sick chickens. My Favorolle Roo has been wheezing and I noticed about 3 days ago that he did not sound like himself when he crowed. I have him inside the house in isolation with a heating pad and I am giving him antibiotics the best I can (forcing them with a dropper bottle). He is a good patient I must say. Good appetite, normal poo, and plenty of energy.
The young hen is pretty listless. Her poo looked runny and she seems like she just wants to sleep, head drawn into her body and hunkered down. I got a little antibiotic down her but it is more difficult as she does not open her mouth like Roo who is laboring to breathe.
Anyway, can anyone think of anything else I should be doing for my babies?

I found this on another site in response to someone reporting similar symptoms in her hen:
"this is definably CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease). If you don't treat her with antibiotics she will die, she may even die with treatment. CRD is a very dangerous illness, and I would be very careful. Isolate the sick bird and treat her with a sulfa based antibiotic such as sulmet. If you don't have a sulfa based product available then you can try terramycin. Make sure she also stays warm."

Anyone agree?????

Here's a bump for you. I would give them whatever you have at this point. Birds go down fast so don't wait. Isolate them from any other birds that you have. Keep them quiet, warm and hydrated.

Roo made it through the night....it was rough for both of us. I laid awake listening for Roo to stop wheezing all night long. When he would stop I ran to the cage, pulled him out and held him. I was so afraid he wouldnt make it through the night. He really sounded like he was suffering. He made it though and so did the little hen. She is growing attached to Roo which is really good. Perhaps they will pair up eventually. She is probably doing well enough to go back into the yard with the others but due to the rain and the fact that I like Roo having company when Im not in the bedroom with him, Ive decided to keep her in the carrier with Roo for now. She is eating and he is mostly attempting to crow. His crow sounds much worse. I plan to keep them both on antibiotics for at least today and we shall see about their health tomorrow. I may even take the little hen out to the yard this afternoon, shall see.Im continuing antibiotics and keeping him isolated and warm.
