Hi guys! This is my first flock and we bought 4 “pullets” a months ago. Three turned out to be roosters
and now one of them is sneezing and wheezing. He’s walking around ok but not eating as well at all...I live in a really rural place and I’m an RN so I reconstituted (mixed with water) some keflex that I had here to a solution of 25mg/ml. I just gave him 50mg. What do you guys think? Any experience treating this at home? I don’t have access to a vet. I also have 17 chicks 2 weeks old in a brooder in our garage and I’ve been washing my hands really well in b/w the chicks and chicken visits. I know he’s a rooster and I would like to keep one rooster but if there is danger of him infecting my babies I wonder if I’ll have to make the tough decision...
Please anyone with experience tell me what you think...I haven’t been able to post a video but I have one here...not sure how to share it? so you can hear/see what I’m talking about.
Thanks so much in advance
