I have had my Pekin babies about a week and a half. They are about 6wks and all came to me with HORRIBLE legs/feet so I’ve been treating them with B Complex, swimming, and yard walks in hopes of improving their condition. Three couldn’t walk without tripping over their own feet, so they’d rarely walk when I got them. Now, they all walk some and several have drastically improved!
I did have one of my younger Pekins (3wks old) pass yesterday, for no apparent reason.
I’ve never had Pekin ducks before, only Magpies and I’ve never had any that sound like this.
Is this a normal sound? I know their size and rapid growth presents different challenges Pekins, but didn’t know if I should be concerned. No visible signs of illness, just the wheezing sound. TIA!
*I have a video, but it’s MOV file and it won’t upload*
