When and how did you move on?

I hope you get more chickens because that fills in the spaces for me when I lose a chicken. I eventually fall love with another chicken. Of course I will always remember the chicken that passed! She was a beautiful chicken!

Same for me. Whenever a chicken passes we get a new one (or you know how chicken math goes....We might come home with 2-3....) The new chickens are never the same as the others but they bring you different joy in other ways My SLW hen Vicky passed last year in September...The way she ran always made me laugh and so did her unique "voice." At the time Vicky was alive, two broodies hatched chicks. They are now 1 yr old. They don't run like Vicky did and they don't have that same "cluck" that Vicky had, but they bring me joy in other ways such as when my barred rock named Prudence lets me pick her up, or how Little Debbie's name fits her so well
