When are cockerels old enough to mate?

He will most likely start trying to mate by about 4 months old....that when the hormones start to flow with most breeds/birds....your females will not be ready to accept until their hormones start flowing shortly before they are ready to lay at about 6 months old.
He’ll be staying with 1+ year old girls (5 hens) the pullet will stay in the “pullet flock” until she is laying. Thanks aart!

Those old girls will 'take him to school'...and may well kick his butt, hope he has space to get away from them.

Are you certain that he is an EE ? That looks like a single comb to me.
It is a single comb. EEs don’t have specific comb types either. All I know is my hairdresser (the lady I got them from) said they were Easter eggers, plus they have muffs so...

I've had single combed EE's, with beards and not......when I crossed blue laying EE's with a wellie cockerel.

Understood, but it appears that pea comb and fuller beards/muffs indicate a higher % of blue egg gene if that is what you are striving for.

Nah I’m not particularly striving for much, just wanting to see what that boy crossed with a blue orp would look like.

Updated pictures:
I finally figured out the ancestry of the 2. I finally just asked, and apparently the mother is an EE and the father is a Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantam. The pullet favors the Japanese Bantam a LOT
