When Can Chickens Get Off Of Grower?! Help

We need to get rid if 2 11 week old cockerels this weekend. Our friend will not continue feeding them Starter/Grower. They will be eating what ever her whole flock is eating. Is it safe for then to go on the chicken food at 11 weeks?

Since you are getting rid of the cockerels and your friend is willing to take them in, there isn't much choice is there?

I've no idea what you mean by "chicken feed", but it sounds as if your friend feeds Layer which isn't the best feed for a cockerel as the calcium level is far too high. Nonetheless, there isn't much else you can do. If your friend isn't willing to feed an All Flock, Flock Raiser or Grower product to all the birds and only wishes to feed Layer, the cockerels will have to survive.
