I have a Wyandotte, a Bahama and 2 Silkie chicks who are 8 weeks old in England. Was wondering when they can stay outside. As they are big and the indoor run is small I put them out in the day, but worry they will get cold and bring them in for cuddles before bed inside. I know silkies need longer than others but they really hate being separated.
thank you xx

:welcome Provided with a 'huddle box' and draft free coop they should be fine outside over night.
Thank you. I have a omlet coop. Would that be enough? Seems all cold cos all plastic. And they have never gone in it by choice. Would I just wait till sunset and put them in?

They'd be best in a coop that could be secured. Even if their pen is predator proof something could spook them out into the pen and potentially injure them.

Yes there coop is a walk in secured run, and at night they would be closed in the omlet coop to sleep. Hopefully very safe x just worry they would get cold x
