Newly chick mom here, and the chicks are only 2 days old. I was wondering when they can go outside to the grassy yard to play for a few minutes. My son loves to watch them and it's not much fun watching them inside a rabbit cage on the floor of the garage. It's nice and warm here, almost 70F in the afternoons.

How old, and for how long each trip?

Thanks!

Goodness Sake take em out!

When our broodys hatch their eggs ,by the morning the little chicks are adventuring around like pros

But I can understand you may be wary as they obviously don't have a broody mama and you don't wanna end up killing your baby's!

So I suggest just ease them in to It maybe 20-25 or even 30-50 mins a day and ease the time a little higher day by day.... the reason why our chicks (more have recently hatched under mama) adventure a lot is because we don't worry bout the heat its soo hot here!

So if its a little colder make sure they don't freeze! But if its warm and after they are used to being outside you can take them out as often as you like
