I live in No Fl and 2 goslings and 4 ducklings that are almost 5 weeks. I was thinking of putting them out this weekend.

Are they feathered in? what are your temps? Most likely it would be okay if they have a draft free house, good ventilation but draft free.I live in No Fl and 2 goslings and 4 ducklings that are almost 5 weeks. I was thinking of putting them out this weekend.
How old again 3 weeks? they would probably be fine outside as long as they didn't get soaked if your having alot of rain. then they could chill since they are completely feathered in yet. daytime with temps in the 90's and shade for them to get into if too hot they would probably be fine out side. Nights is when I would be a little concerned if they didn't stay out of the rain.It is about 80 degrees here at night. Zephyrhills, Fl. can we put our goslings out in the coop day and night yet or wait until they are 4 weeks?? It is in the mid 90's during the day. Very rainy here also but the pen has 3 sides, a roof, and is dry. Space is about 4X8 ft. No chickens in this space, we use it for a nursery when we have chicks.
Mine are 3 1/2 weeks and I am trying to get tem used to being outside. That has honestly been the hardest task. You'd think they'd love it. I built a small corral for them and filled with soft pine shavings. I have a 10x20 ft run under a 3 sided pole barn. They were terrified!. Just the ordeal of placing in a safe carrier and getting them out there dramatized them.Never ate or drank or came out of carrier. I was working inside the run but it was so warm and humid I was worried they'd overheat from not drinking. Anyone have ideas to help them transition? I bought a 4ft high x 16ft metal folding enclosure I plan to use when I let them roam in pasture while supervised. Hoping this will help.I have been putting mine outside during the day and I bring them in at night... mostly to avoid chills, rain and predators but I am thinking I will let them stay out at 6 wks.
