When Can I Band My Banties?

I will be using colored, numbered Bandettes....at what age can I safely band my Cochin Bantams? The bandettes look expandable for growth but I do not want to cause any problems. Also, because this breed is full feathered, including the legs, will this be a problem. Not necessarily raising them for show, just for fun. Thanks in advance for any responses....Bob P. in NE FLA
