When can I eggspect egg #2?

My 6 1/2 month old Silkie laid her first egg one week ago yesterday. I haven't gotten any since. Is this normal? I read somewhere that Silkies lay anywhere for 5-120 eggs per year, so if she were on the 50 egg-laying end, maybe I am due for egg #2 any time now. Is this right? Normal? How long should I wait for another egg without becoming paranoid that something is wrong?

My silkies have always laid when they wanted too. You never knew when to expect an egg LOL One thing I did find out about silkies is they like to roll other eggs that other chickens lay around the coop and always end up broody if the eggs are left in there for too long

seems like they just can't help themselves!

Thank you. I am so new at this that I just thought once I had that first one, I could open up the egg door and find another every morning.
