When can I get more?!

So my 5 baby chicks and ducks are growing and happy. We've got rir's chicks right now and apparently they aren't likely to give us many more. I don't mind taking care of chicks but I don't think I can hatch eggs.

So...my question is-when can we get more chicks? Next spring? Will they settle in or is it always a bad idea to add chicks to an already established 'family'? Any thoughts?

There is never a BAD time to get chicks

depending on the age of the kids you have now you could try to find more in that same age or if you go younger just keep them away from the big bully kids until they are big enough to bully back and all will be fine. If you go with kids the same age you need to keep them separated until you know they are healthy and then there will be an adjustment period-2 mini flocks then one day one big flock.
We have chicks hatching every week..it's like a great big chick playground around here.

I have mine staggered at about 2 weeks each group. And right now everyone outside is doing great together and I have my last bunch in the house.
