When can I put first time mama with hatchlings back into the flock?

When do you move Momma and her eggs in the brooder? (What day of incubation?) I like this idea. I have a 6' 3' brooder with a screened cover that I would love to use for her and her eggs. I bought a kitty litter pan that I plan to fill with straw for her eggs. I will move Liberty to the brooder at night and place her on her new nest....just how close to the hatch day I should move her? I am nervous about interrupting her broodiness! Will she reject the eggs??

I just build the nest on the floor of my Brooder..No need for a pan as a nest..I set up feed and water close to the Hen as she sets. I collect the eggs and the Hen. Put eggs in the nest and pop Momma in the Brooder but not on the eggs. I walk away and wait about 15 to 20 minutes and they are totally settled on the nest when I return..

I also do the move in the day time as you can't trick a Chicken and she will settle easily during the day..Where this night time moves ever came from are wrong..

Yes...Also Momma is alert and her Broodiness draws her to the nest of eggs..It works every single time...

Perfect! If the eggs are due to hatch on June 1st, when should i move her and her eggs?

Now....Today but keep eggs as they are in the nest..Don't turn them ..Just put in a container with a towel under them as they were..Place into your new nest and then pop Momma in and walk away..

Perfect...It will work...Sometimes the Hen yells a bit but she will find her nest and settle on it to protect her eggs..

Okay so when I got home, Liberty was off her nest eating and giving herself a dust bath. I set up the brooder, candled the eggs (4 out of 5 viable and developing!!!!) and set them in the new nest. Put momma in the brooder.......now to wait 15 minutes and see what happens........
