Well, I have 2 left... out of 6... pretty good considering....

Today it was nice and I have them outside in a little pen... they do have a bucket shelter with straw inside the metal "cage".... I'm trying to wean them off being in the house.

It has been foggy here, so a bit cool at night... but not dipping below 52.

So, what is the night time temp I should watch for so I can leave them outside and get them aclamated to being outside chickens?

At 3-4 weeks old I take them off of heat in my shop and I still have a 60 watt energy efficient light in there but besides that no heat. Then about 4-5 they go outside in a coop with no heat from then. They do well 99% o the time. During the winter I take them off of heat about 4-5 weeks and then they go outside in a coop about 5-6 weeks old depending on the weather. There are a few different ways to do this but I prefer this way.

Okay I don't know the age of them, so it's hard to answer fully. Are they fully feathered out? If not, they would likely still get cool in foggy weather - due to dampness of course. I do a lot of poultry move around...Out for sunshine, in for warmth... But if you have a run where there is a heat lamp and shelter from blowing rain/winds, they could use that and sheltered from the weather. It would be good as well. And then gradually take them off the lamp with feathering. Hope that helps! Good question.

I don't remember their ages....but they are feathered out... they are standing about 4 to 5 inches tall....

I'm new at chicken rearing....

If they are feathered out then they should be fine to go outside. You might put a 60 watt light in their coop 3 feet off the ground if it is cold where you are.
