I was told its not the best to start incubating the eggs when they first start laying, I couldnt resist putting the first egg in just to see if it works.
But when should I start incubating Really? How long should I wait?
She started on tuesday, and has laid 3 eggs so far
Shes a Mallard/Rouen (not sure which)

Have you checked for fertility? I usually crack the eggs for a week or two to make sure the roo is doing his job. Otherwise, you're wasting time. After that, I've hatched eggs no problem.

typically yes your hatch rate is a little lower...so what you do is buy a bunch of eggs and add to yours and then you get to watch birds hatch! It is best to add a bunch of quail cuz they get after it when they hatch!
