When can I start..

I would say once you see that she is actually laying you can feed layer feed, but even then you may want to add extra niacin. Waterfowl need more niacin than chickens and it helps prevent leg weekness and injuries. I can't remember when my runners started laying when I had them, they kept laying burying their eggs under shrubs, and we would have to go on egg hunts.

I heard to put Niacin in their water, will this be bad for the chickens? Thanks!!
