When can introduce vegetables to my chick!!!

Fruits are fine for chickens.  Some say don't feed citrus, but others feed it to them.  The main thing is don't overdo treats.  No more than 10% of their total intake is a good rule of thumb.  Have you seen our treats chart?

I've heard any age is good aslong as the have a little grit to help digest it. Hope this chart is something that may help with what to feed them.

No rush, let him enjoy his nutritious feed. He'll learn about bugs and weeds and greens when he is outside. Chicks get spoiled as easily as children do, and then turn their beaks up at the foods they need to eat.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

It's best to wait until they are around 4-8 weeks to start giving him veggies, fruits, breads, etc. But in the mean time he can be eating treats like cooked egg, oatmeal or mealworms in small portions.
