when can mama leave babies

We let our Silky hatch some eggs. They hatched on Mother's Day. We have her and the babies in their own coop away from the other chickens, but still in the same pen. Lately when I feed them she wants to get out with the other big girls, only they immediately start fighting. Should I put her in an isolated area away from the other big girls but also away from the babies? She is the only Silky. The other big chickens are Ameraucunas and I have no idea what the babies are because I got the fertilized eggs from the feed store who got them from someone else. Also, one of the babies has a growth on his beak and his one eye; his entire eye is covered over with the thick yellow skin-like growth. He is not growing as fast as the others but I have not observed them picking on him.
