I had a hen sit and hatch 7 ducklings theyre almost 2 months old now and getting more adult like. When can mum chicken go back with the others? She still talks to them and hangs round them and they follow her. I put her back for abit with others and she just paced trying to get back to them so let her out.
Also how old before I introduce/move them in with my other ducks?
They muscovies if that helps

My hen never got over me taking her ducklings away. That is until she went broody again.
Some moms can’t let go in between hatches. Hopefully she only hatches chicks next time. Since Muscovy are broody themselves, let them handle the ducks.

My ducks seem to be terrible mothers and I always lose most of the ducklings. So tried hatching with a hen and was very successful 7 out of 8 eggs hatched and none died. I could move the hen to a secure place to sit and hatch them. A duck wouldn't do that properly.
The hens had chicks before and diddnt mind when I put her back. Maybe it's because she can see the ducklings from the big pen?

Depends on the hen. One hen of mine still lets her baby sit beside her and the baby is old enough to lay eggs. Another hen pecked her baby and made him actually cry like a little child and run to me. Like a child that cries so much they can't catch their breath. It was so sad.

Poor baby, I put her back with the rest yesterday afternoon, this morning she snuck out past me and ran back to her babies that are now almost twice her size  so I just left her out haha. I will need too at some point put the ducklings with my other ducks, they all get let out during the day but they don't "mingle"
