When Can My Duckling Go Outside?

My duckling is turning 5 weeks old in a couple days and I was wondering when I he will be old enough to take short visits outside to meet the rest of my flock. I was thinking of waiting until he grew all his feathers ( so around 8 weeks.) Does that sound reasonable or is it too early/late? The average temp where I live now is about 30 degrees F.

8 week should be good i took my ducks out at 6 weeks when it was around 40 or 50 and let them run around in the yard and play then i put them back after they took a bath in my bath tub they was happy but i had to run after them to put them up or herd them into the cage
