i have cats. i have pekins (already ready), campbells (not sure), rouens (not sure), runners (not sure), buffs (not sure), and african geese (DEFINITELY ready). they are a 1 month and 1 week old. i would like for them to go out.

I would set up a secure area outside the coop, and watch over them if it's not completely secure.

When I first had the runners in their outdoor shelter with attached porch, it took weeks for me to finish their Day Pen. So when they were outside, I was outside with them.

mine did fine in a little fenced area from age 4 weeks on......have a little house and a little kiddie pool......when they get to be about 6 weeks old they free range and have access to an abandoned swimming pool and all the bugs and weeds they can possibly eat from 5 acres. They have room to fly as well. All of mine so far have been hens. I'd like to have a drake and see if the hens will nest and raise a clutch of ducklings.

i don't have material for a run but just when could they go outside to face my cats.

Hello,
I have 11 Mallards. I'm not sure how many drakes there will be, but several are "appearing" with their colors now. I live in Shiloh, NC. Once I find out how many extra drakes I have, I'll gladly share them with a good family, if you want mallards that is. I just moved here in Dec and not sure how far west you are….or if you even want mallards.
