Sooooooo, integration with mom didn’t go well. All seemed ok- they went into coop one night after a few days of free range with the flock, so I thought things were fine/ I went out the next morning to find the leader down in run with her and this. ( Mom still up in coop part) Brought her inside, & treating her (I now have a house chicken with a diaper) she is doing great, but I haven’t let her have a dust bath yet- I’m thinking wound should be totally closed. Thoughts? ((I have no clue if she will make it into flock now, but that’s a discussion for later. ))

She should be fine with a dust bath, the dust helps clot blood and actually heal the wound. As for putting her back in the coop, its very challenging because they do need to establish a pecking order but somethings chickens take it a little to far.
