Hello everyone! Once again, I am in love with this site. And it is because of how wonderful you all are!!!

So, this last Saturday, my beautiful Wyandotte began wheezing. I was quick to get her to the vet the next day along with some VetRx right away. Her wheezing has gone down and doesn't even seem to be there anymore. I have her isolated in my office. But am I able to take her out on her own, say in the front yard, away from the other girls, just to give her some time to play and run? She did not have gapeworm and the vet said it was some kind of illness and gave her an antibiotic, which she has been on since Sunday as well.

Thanks in advance!

There is no reason to keep this bird away from the flock.
Doing so is only going to cause more stress on both her or the flock which could make the illness worse.

Whatever this bird has the other birds have already been exposed to.

Did the vet put a swab down her throat to do any testing?

I had the same feeling about the hens being exposed already. Coincidentally, I'm out here with Gabriella (the "sick" one) in the pen and the flock free-ranging around her.

No she looked down her throat. Her wheezing isn't gone but that is her only symptom. She isn't lethargic, she has been eating and drinking properly. She just has a wheeze and after being isolated from sisters for nearly two weeks, I decided to let out.

Thanks for the reassurance!
