When Can the Chicks Move in With the Chickens?

The 8 week olds and the 1 year olds are in the same run seperated by a chain link panel. They seem to get along fine and reach into each others pens. They have been like this for 4 weeks now - when can they go in together? I have 6 one week old Welsummers that I would like to move outside in the next few weeks. I don't want to setup a 3rd chicken area but I can if that would be best. Please offer some advice.

Are they all the same size? I've heard that if some are smaller, they will get picked on...
