RI Chicks
Hatching
Hi new to forum! and new to baby chickens... I have some chicks that are just over 4 weeks old still in the brooder in the house. I live in Rhode Island and the temp at night still goes down to the 30's on some nights and get up to the 50's and 60's during the day. I was wondering if they could be moved outside to the coop? I can have heat lamps in the coop for the nights are all day if needed. The coop is a converted shed that is 7' by 12' but i have a small section for them to live until they are older and will have free run of the coop.
So i guess what i am asking is can they go out now? Any info would be great! This is my first time with baby chicks, I have 4 other chickens that i rescued, but they were already 2 years old when i got them.
Thank you!
Ian
