I have two 4 week old buff turkeys and they are starting to get to big for the brooder box. I put them in a pen in my coop just to start getting use to being out in the coop and all they are doing is cheeping away like they are totally unhappy. They have heat, fresh water, food and shelter. Could it just be them leaving the little chicks in the brooder they are missing them? What temperature can they be at at 4 weeks old? Thanks in advance!!

That could be it, they are very social. When we took our turkey out of the pheasent pen, he about broke his neck trying to get back in by squeezing through the fence. We solved that problem by getting more turkeys. But they still follow the chickens around.
