Good afternoon from Cornwall, UK!
I'm a newbie...got our girls almost three weeks ago. Long story short...
Had them on Harkers Coxoid as we thought they had cocci. They were on it about four days when we found out they actually had worms. Stopped the cocci meds after the four days as they went on Flubenvet 1% for the worms. It said we could eat the eggs with the Flubenvet, but we know we couldn't with the cocci meds. How long do we have to wait before the cocci meds are out of their system and it's safe to eat the eggs again? I can't seem to get a straight answer.
Thank you!

Welcome to BYC. It is safe to eat eggs during Coxoid (amprollium) or with Flubenvet. There is no egg residue with either. Say hello to Doc Martin for us—I love the scenery in Cornwall where that is filmed.

On a short google search, it seems to be listed for pigeons, and says 'not for use in birds intended for human consumption'. In the USA, amprolium is okay to use in chickens; I have no idea about your situation in the UK. Your veterinary college poultry expert should be helpful, and a good resource generally. The product should be labeled specifically for chickens, with directions, and withdrawal times.

Amprollium is not an antibiotic, nor is there any egg residue. It is commonly used in chickens. Flubendazole used in the feed for 6-7 days is so small a dose, there is no egg withdrawal.
